Can you think of any crazy fundraising ideas?

I'm going to Kenya with a youth group in October to help with orphans, and we need to raise over 16 grand in total. So individually we need to do our own fundraisers as well as larger events together. I need to think of something to get sponsored for, and I thought I'd play on the fact that I'm a vegetarian. So how about dying my hair ginger and dressing up as a carrot for a weekend in the summer? I know it's not hugely crazy but I actually hate the thought of dying my hair (I don't like damaging it lol) so I thought maybe it would give people even more of a reason to Sponsor me. Have you got any other cool ideas that won't get me into trouble or cost me a lot of money? Thanks.
